About this Event:

Learn to identify at-risk populations here in New Hampshire with the most up-to-date data available, and how to conduct a caring, supportive, culturally competent suicide risk assessment. In this training, we will explore the role of social media in suicide risk assessment, examine the current landscape of available resources in the state, and discuss what makes a good (or bad!) safety plan.

Training Objectives:

After this training, participants will be able to:

Identify suicide risk factors
Identify at-risk populations and groups in New Hampshire and nationally
Understand how to conduct a supportive, culturally competent suicide risk assessment

This training will identify the means clinicians can determine if the services provided are within their scope of practice, and how to refer potential or current clients to other practitioners or higher levels of care.

Training Objectives:

After this training, participants will be able to:

1. Clinicians will be able to determine what factors would lead to a referral outside of personal practice

2. Clinicians will be able to name two tools which can help determine the level of care needed

3. Clinicians will be able to identify the way current environments may inhibit choices for care

4. Clinicians will be able to construct a process, based on environment, that is used to consider care in their individual practice settings
