Summary: This presentation is geared towards mental health clinicians who want to have a better understanding of trans* identities (trans* is used here to be inclusive of all people with non-conforming gender identities and expressions) and issues specific to working with trans* youth. <br /><br />Objectives: Participants will… <br />• Be able to differentiate between gender identity and sexual orientation <br />• Increase understanding of language used to describe gender identity <br />• Identify at least three strategies to help youth explore gender identity • Understand how to access guiding documents for clinical care of trans individuals <br /><br />Note: Time and date are subject to change.
